6 Makeup Items I Must Bring When I Travel!!

Updated: Aug 3, 2020

I don't know about you, but packing for a trip away from home can be quite challenging. Often we overthink packing or we don't think at all! We think to ourselves, "I don't want to pack too little but, I also don't want to pack too much. I don't know how much to pack!" When I pack for a trip I like to think about the basics first, and then what ever else I want to bring just in case! I fins it helpful to make a list of things to pack and cross them off as I pack! My mom taught me preparation for any trip is key. When it comes to makeup I like to think of the products I would normally wear on just a regular day, but I also think of what the trip is for so I bring the right makeup!! When I do leave home I like to make sure I pack at least these 6 makeup products because they are basic for just about any look!

1.Mascara (Gotta have those lashes dark and beautiful, I find mascara really makes the eye stand out much more).

2. Lipgloss/Lipstick (I find adding a gloss or adding a lipstick really enhances your lips and depending on the type of lip product it can stay all-day. You never know how you will feel so I tend to bring one of both!!)

3. Eyebrow Pencil/Stick (I find eyebrows are an important feature on the face, if someone is without eyebrows or they have it fully drawn its noticeable. I personally am missing eyebrow hairs so drawing them in is key for me pretty much everyday!! I always want my brows to be on fleek, do we even use this word anymore?)

4. Foundation (I find that a lightweight foundation works best for me, I like to feel as natural and free as possible. My foundation is also the perfect shade for my skin tone which means once put on its even more difficult to tell that I am wearing anything. Sometimes I just wear it to even out my skintone on my face and it honestly makes a huge difference, to me anyway!!!)

5. Setting Powder (This is a must if I wear foundation or concealer because I don't want my makeup to crease at all. I set the areas that I know definitely crease, such as my under eyes, my eyelids and my smile lines. It really does make one look more flawless and together when they have no creases. Creasing not only looks bad, but, it also makes one look older in age!!)

6. Setting Spray (I feel that this is a must, I only carry this if I know I won't be home within the day! Setting spray honestly just holds everything together so it doesn't move throughout the day, the last thing anyone wants is smudged makeup on their face!! For me even if I'm not wearing a lot of makeup I want to be certain that it looks good no matter what I do!!)
